Nigel Cabourn WWI Coastal Command Jacket

The Coastal Command Jacket is made in collaboration with Scottish leather brand Aero Leather Company. Back in WWI, British Coastal Command Soldiers, pilots but also aeroplane mechanics would wear these during war. Offering protection against severe weather conditions. The outer shell is made from the strongest redskin leather and the seams are taped with leather for extra protection. Tanned to brown or antique black with a light rub down for a worn look, fitted with a thick lush Shear-ling Sheepskin lining, This bad ass jacket is extremely warm wind and water proof. The hood has been hand painted by Nigel himself, Army personnel would paint their hoods in these colours so they would not get shot in the back of their head by one of their own during war time.
Big brass "Tallon" zipps with leather tags and brass sleeve zipps which runs down from the elbow to the wrist. The shell is very stiff from all quality materials used, so it needs to be broken-in, like a new pair of leather boots.
